The Ameswell Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and shared lounge in Mountain View. With free WiFi, this 5-star hotel has a restaurant and a bar. Everything was perfect . The location is close to the center of Mountain view and the Shoreline Amphitheater. Room was big and well decorated, with everything you need. Outside was gorgeous with a food truck, restaurant, bar, playground for kids, heated pool and huge gym. Staff was helpful and professional.

Residence Inn by Marriott San Jose North/Silicon Valley features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and shared lounge in San Jose. The room was way better than I expected, way better than it was on the pictures. I also asked to have a water view, it was amazing! We went to Ed Sheeran's concert at the Levi's Stadium. It was only 30 minutes to walk from the hotel. Super convenient!

Boasting a terrace, bar and views of mountain, AC Hotel by Marriott San Jose Santa Clara is set in Santa Clara, 12 km from San Jose Convention Center. The hotel is new and the staff just great! You can park inside for 18 USD, but also plenty of free slots in the street (literally 1 min walking). Comfy bed, good shower and very quiet room. I recommend!

Located 25 minutes’ drive away from major high tech corporations in California’s Silicon Valley, Residence Inn by Marriott Redwood City San Carlos serves a daily American breakfast and offers... I drove from Sacramento and had a problem with my left ankle. Knew I needed to ice ASAP or would end up not going out. Left my room and could barely walk. I asked a maid where the ice machine was. She told me I had to go to front desk to get ice. I thanked her and limped away. I took 2 steps and the maid who answered my question offer to get the ice for me. I wanted to cry because I knew I could not walk that far and she realized this. There truly are nice people still in bay area. Made my trip because I used the ice for 3 days. Wish I got her name. I looked for as I wanted to tip her

Saratoga Oaks Lodge is situated in Saratoga, 2.3 km from the Montalvo Arts Centre and 4.2 km from the Mountain Winery. Staying at the motel was like stepping back in time. Car parked right in front of my room door, coffee maker and 1970s shower, it was fantastic. I was reminded of my childhood in California. Breakfast was a series of little to-go packages, kind of a joke but I wasn't there for the breakfast. In a post-Covid world the motel simply isn't set up for serving breakfast, and there is a wonderful, amazing, and very tasty breakfast place less than 100 meters away. (Try the poached eggs on savory Greek yogurt with chili butter. Very different, very filing.)

Surrounded by lagoons filled with Koi and waterfalls, this hotel is 3.5-miles from downtown Palo Alto. All rooms have free fiber-optic Wi-Fi and a 42-inch flat-screen TV with cable. Awesome hotel in a good location. It's spacious and very well kept. The service is excellent.

Located in Central Palo Alto, el PRADO offers contemporary guest rooms with GLink iPhone and Android docking stations. A state-of-the-art fitness centre is located on site. There are many things to like about El Prado — our beautiful and spacious room, the terrific location just off the older downtown area with several restaurants and shops that is easily walkable. My favourite though was the lovely bar on the second floor where we went to share a great charcuterie board and two delicious cocktails when we arrived at 9pm feeling peckish after a long flight from Montreal. The bar is cosy with several comfortable upholstered armchairs and couches set up in sitting areas for a tête-a-tête for two or for small groups; just the perfect spot for relaxed drinks after work or to welcome two tired travellers.
